RHINO RAYS JIMNY STEERING DAMPERS  

 


first of all make sure you have all parts and tools needed for the instalation.
NO SPECIAL TOOLS REQUIRED.

1. Make sure that the front wheels are straight.

2. Jack the front of your Jimny up and secure it with axle stands.

3. Take out the large bracket and offer it up to the bumper bracket. 2 small hole at the top - front to match bumper mount
(see pic 2)

4. Remove the 2 bumper bracket nuts and bolts, Mount new bracket using the 2 new top bolt and a larger bottom nut and bolt including large washer (see pic 3)

5. Attach the steering damper (ramp end - see pics 4 and 5)

6. Extend steering damper fully and measure centre. Then mark it with a piece of tape or marker pen. (see pic 6)

7. Shorten the damper to the centre mark on the steering ram and attach the mounting bracket. (see pics 7 - 8)

8. Secure and tighten the 4 mounting nuts and bolts through the taper bracket around the steering arm. (see pic 9 - 10)

9. Please check over all fixings to make sure they are tight.

10. Check steering lock to make sure the damper is central.

11. Lower vehicle and enjoy.....
